Is food really free?

Yes! On most multi-day tours we include the food. We give you a pre-loaded card so that you can choose what and where you want to eat. This way, you always have choices and alternatives.

Does my food card allow me to eat in any restaurant I want?

Yes, we have pre-loaded a card for your convenience. This gives you the freedom to choose where you would like to go and what you would like to eat. We are always happy to suggest our favorite places!

What will the average driving per day be?

It depends on the tour itself, in general, an average day is 3-5 hours of driving. For guests with mobility issues, we include more sightseeing from the vehicle. Please note that some of the initial driving can be up to 8 hours in order to get to the first location.

What measures does the company take to protect customers (safety concerns)?

First of all, our guide will inspect for cleanliness and safety each and every hotel room. If your door doesn’t lock, or there is a problem with cleaning, you will get a new room without question. We have always detailed, sanitized, and cared for each vehicle before going to pick up any clients. We like to try to arrange picnics instead of eating in restaurants. One of the owners was a police officer for 20 years and another owner was a firefighter for 20 years. Both are very dedicated to your physical and mental safety. Even before COVID-19, we were diligent in keeping sick employees home and making sure that hand sanitizers are in each vehicle.

Where are you located?

Our headquarters used to be in Tooele, Utah. Then for a time, we moved everything to Las Vegas, Nevada. We found that everything we did could be done online, so we moved back home to Hilo, Hawaii. While we have a satellite office in Tooele, Utah and we are working on a satellite office in St. George, UT, our main office and headquarters remain in Hilo, Hawaii.

What kind of rooms can we expect to be staying in?

Most of the hotels are tried and trusted hotels that we have used before. We choose hotels that are clean, comfortable, and safe. Some rooms have a 2 or 3-star rating but are chosen for their location, comfort, and cleanliness. Please contact us if you would like a detailed list of the hotels for your trip.

Do you have travelers insurance?

Yes! In fact, if you are planning on taking one of our trips, we highly recommend purchasing that insurance. You never know what may come up and we want you to have the peace of mind that this insurance offers. We have a travel agent that can help you navigate this and choose what is best for you.

Can you take me to the active volcano?

No. There are no (knock on wood) active volcanoes on the island of Hawaii at this time. Please be very wary of anyone who claims to be able to do this. We are one of the only companies on the island of Hawaii that can legally take anyone to Leilani Estates. This is ground zero for the 2018 eruption. Please note that all of the eruption area was on private property. Hawaii County has arrested those who have illegally trespassed on these lands. All of the fissures are on private lands. These are not Hawaiian Home Lands and they do not belong to the State or Federal Government. These are still private lands.

What is the single supplement for?

Our rooms are booked on a sharing basis, solo travelers can pay the price of an adult ticket and share a room of someone of the same sex. If they prefer to have their own room, they must pay a single supplement.
